Mission Statement

Austin Bishop is a City Councilman seeking his second term in office.  He is a small business owner, active community volunteer, taxpayer advocate, and experienced leader with a proven track record of improving public safety and attracting thousands of new jobs to Palmdale.

Councilman Bishop has been a proud Palmdale resident for over 20 years and is honored to have been part of the positive changes he has been able to influence during his term.  Continued progress requires change and change requires strong leadership.  Councilman Bishop is the candidate to provide that leadership while maintaining a sensitivity towards the humane needs of constituents. 

During his term, Councilman Bishop has improved the quality of life for Palmdale citizens through his involvement with the Palmdale and Hispanic Chambers, his support of parks, community events and cultural celebrations like Día de los Muertos.  Councilman Bishop believes that every voice deserves to be heard, every resident represented, and that diversity and equality are at the heart of every vibrant city.

Councilman Bishop is the right candidate to create mortgage paying jobs, improve the 14 freeway, reduce crime, develop youth enrichment programs, fight illegal dumping and find compassionate solutions for pet overpopulation, homelessness and mental health issues.
